Inquiry deskAdults 18+Austin, Texas

One question in. One label-sourced card back.

Ask the desk about a prescription sleep medication for adults, or one of the over-the-counter boxes. We send back the printable card for that family, with every dose traced to the US label, and a one-page sheet of questions to take to your own prescriber.

The form · posts to the desk

Write the question the way you would say it at the pharmacy counter

Name the medicine if you know it. Say what worries you: the dose, the timing, the drive to work, a drink at dinner, a parent over 65 who takes a "PM" box every night. One question gets a better answer than six. If you have six, pick the one that keeps you up.

The card arrives here as a printable file.

Only if you would rather we call back.

City and state is enough. We don't ship anything.

For example: zolpidem 5 mg, or doxepin 3 mg.

Leave out anything you would not put on a postcard. We don't need a diagnosis, a date of birth or an insurance number, and we would rather not hold them.

After you press send

Sleep medicine information from Austin, Texas: what the desk does next

No queue ticket, no sales call, no newsletter you did not ask for. A person reads it, finds the card, and writes back in plain words.

  1. The message lands in one inbox

The form and [email protected] go to the same place. Your name, email and question are stored with the time you sent it. That is the whole record.

  2. We match it to a family card

Asked about suvorexant versus zolpidem? You get both family cards, not a verdict. Every dose line on them carries its source, for example SOURCE · FDA LABEL · SECTION 2 DOSAGE.

  3. We answer the question you asked

A short written reply sits on top of the card. It says what the label says, where the label is silent, and when a use is off-label. Trazodone for insomnia gets the red OFF-LABEL stamp and no invented dose.

  4. You get the prescriber sheet

One printed page of questions to take to your appointment or to the pharmacy counter. Your prescriber decides. We only make the conversation shorter and sharper.

  5. If a card had an error, you hear about it

We correct cards and tell everyone who received the wrong version. The window and the rules sit under the card accuracy guarantee.

Response rules

Questions we answer, and the ones we send back

Yes · 01

What the label says

Start doses, maximums, the hours you need left in bed, food rules, the boxed warning. Zolpidem dosage for women starts at 5 mg. We will say that plainly and show where it comes from.

Yes · 02

Next-morning driving

The single most common mistake we hear about is a Z-drug at 2 a.m. with four hours before the alarm, then the drive to work. Ask about sleep medication safety next morning driving and you get the specific rule for your family card.

Yes · 03

Older relatives and OTC boxes

Diphenhydramine and doxylamine are anticholinergic and sit on the Beers list for over-65s. If you are asking for a parent, say their age range. Nothing else about them.

No · 04

"Should I take it?"

We don't prescribe, and we don't tell anyone to start, stop or change a dose. We hand you the question sheet so your prescriber can answer it.

No · 05

Anyone under 18

Every card is written for adults. A question about a teenager goes back with one line: talk to their pediatric prescriber.

No · 06

Where to buy it

We don't sell, dispense or ship medicine, and we don't quote prices. Pharmacy cost depends on your plan and the pharmacy. Ask them.

Before you write

Short answers to the questions about writing in

Does writing in cost anything?

No. There is no fee to send a question or to receive a card. There is also nothing to buy afterwards. The catalogue is inquiry-only.

Can I send a photo of my prescription label?

Please don't. Type the medicine name and strength into the "medicine and dose" line instead. A photo carries your name, your prescriber and your pharmacy, and we have no use for any of it.

Is the chat faster than the form?

The chat button in the corner reaches the same desk. Use it for a short question. Use the form when you want the printable card back, since that goes out by email.

What happens to my message later?

Enquiries and their email copies are kept for 24 months, then deleted. You can ask for yours sooner through a data request, answered within 10 days.
